Pools, spas, jacuzzis and whirlpools require a lot of energy to be heated and its unfortunate that a vast majority are still being heated with conventional direct fired pool heaters. In many cases these heaters only run at 50% to 60% efficiency, while hydronic boilers run in the 80% to 95% efficiency range. In cases where a conventional direct fired pool heater is replaced with an alternative system, such as a boiler or solar heating, an external heat exchanger is required to isolate the pool water from the heating system. Our heat exchangers are available in capacities ranging from 80,000 Btu/hr to 1.5 million Btu/hr. This translates to a 1 degree fahrenheit per hour temperature rise for pools ranging in size from 6000 gallons to 120,000 gallons.
